My daughter now has a much better understanding on what they are covering in class now and will gladly work with Tony if she hits some more challenges with Calc II. 5 star!
Tony did a great job with my daughter. He was patient and helped her work through her questions and problems with her calculus II class. He has been a valuable helpline even outside of scheduled sessions. Having someone to sit with her and explain things one on one has been tremendously helpful.
The exchange of information and understanding math , an abstract, is difficult.
i really need to decompress and absorb the lesson. Tony is easily cruising at 60 k ft. and i am at 30k ft. it is up to me to focus Tony and let him know when we are not connecting- he is a solid resource. I just need a 12 hr. respite to digest and absorb the exchange. You always improve your game when you play with someone 'better'. Tony is a subject matter expert
Tony did a great job with my daughter in Algebra 2. he was patient and encouraging. He explained the concepts, demonstrated the techniques and it gave her time to with guided practice and work through what he was teaching. He brought out concepts that she knew but didn't have the confidence to follow through with. Excited about the next session.
didn't know what to expect but Tony was exactly what we needed to make sense of math. great tutor. even taught a math hack which will come in handy. will definitely continue on with him.
Tony is very clear in his approach and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly help my son get through some very difficult topics.
My son thinks Tony is a patient and good tutor and feels like his sessions are helping him understand math better than in school.
First lesson and he has already helped me. Very friendly and patient, too. I liked him a lot and I will be seeing him again.
We feel really lucky to have found Tony. He's patient and flexible and my son feels comfortable talking to him and working with him.
Tony is extremely knowledgable and very well organized. He is a great tutor and we are lucky to have found him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a bachelor's in math and statistics. I have tutored multiple individuals in college algebra and trig. All of my students went on to receive high marks and completed their degrees. I have familiarized myself with the NYS regent curriculum and requirements. I have also taken the Praxis I exam which is the first exam for individuals seeking to become math teachers as I considered being a substitute teacher. I decided that tutoring would be a better avenue for my talents.
I received an Associates of math and science from HVCC. After that, I went on to get my BA in Math and Statistics from SUNY Albany. I am an accomplished tutor. I have tutored math at the middle school, high school and the college level. I only last year began tutoring again and since I have helped close to 20 students improve their grades.
I received an Associate's in Math and Sciences from HVCC. I went on to get my Bachelor's in math, but I've always maintained my proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I was in the top of my class for these courses in both high school and college.
