About Darren

I am an advanced graduate student at SUNY Buffalo working on my PhD in Anthropology. I specialize in archaeology, specifically in Roman period Romania. I have taught several courses at SUNY Buffalo, as well as running a field school for the past 5 years.

Prior to making the switch to archaeology, I studied astrophysics at the University of Michigan, so I have a deep and rich background in math and science. I have been an editor for a graduate journal for the past 4 years, and am the current Editor-in-Chief, so I am well versed in writing, whether it be high level academic writing or just improving your proof reading.

As a tutor, I like to work with the student to find the way they can engage with the material best. I understand their are many ways to learn, and having overcome my own challenges in the standard classroom setting, can pass those skills on to make you an all-around better student.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
