Hi there! My name is Tyler, and I am a recent graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University with my Doctorate in Medicine. I went to Hobart and William Smith Colleges for my undergraduate studies, where I double-majored in Biochemistry and Spanish. I am becoming a family medicine doctor because I love forming relationships with and educating my patients. I hope to bring this passion to my students on Wyzant's platform. I have tutored on and off my whole life. While in high school, I spend time tutoring math classes. During college, I helped tutor Biology and Chemistry to the first-year students. In addition, I studied abroad in Spain, where I gave English lessons to Spanish children. I have also spent time advising students on medical school preparation.

I like to get to know my students and learn about them and their learning styles. I am comfortable working with any student regardless of their age. Having been a student for over 20 years now, I have had to adapt my learning style many times as I have transitioned from high school to college to medical school. Throughout this journey, I have learned many effective ways to teach every type of student.

I have a laid-back teaching style, and I try to make each lesson as fun as possible while still getting the most education out of each session. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I look forward to working with you and cannot wait to see what we can accomplish together!

10/10

Tyler was extremely patient and knowledgeable! He asked for any paperwork I had from my professor pertaining to the session so that he was prepared on what concepts to review. Additionally he did a great job of breaking down the complex processes and making them understandable. A tutoring session with him really boosted my confidence - I cannot recommend him enough!

Tyler was able to meet with me on the same day that I reached out to him. Prior to starting learning content, we had a short meeting to discuss my goals so that he could better shape his structure for tutoring. He is also able to give good advice to pre-med students.
