ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:

I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pittsburgh Honors College on a Full Tuition Honors College Scholarship in 2012 with a double major in French and Italian Language and Literature. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Last year, I scored above the 93rd percentile on my GRE Verbal and Writing sections. In high school, I scored above the 98th percentile on the SAT/ACT Verbal sections. TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have been providing speech-language services to children (preschool through high school) and adults. Services have included but not limited to those for accent modification, social skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities and study skills. I also have been tutoring academic coursework, including English as a Second Language, French, Italian, and test preparation. I have worked at the international Berlitz Language School, where I taught English, French and Italian to children and adults of all levels and all language backgrounds. I also have years of experience teaching SAT classes at test prep companies in New York.

TEACHING APPROACH:
I tailor my lessons to each student I teach and to his or her individual learning styles. I am friendly, patient and not intimidating: three qualities that I personally find important in a tutor. I truly love teaching and meeting new students. I find that I always learn from my students when I teach as well! During our first lesson together, we can discuss your goals and create an academic plan personalized to your needs. I look forward to working with you!
