I have been a CPA since 1987 and have worked in both public and private accounting. Mainly for small businesses. A good deal of my experience has been training individuals in both bookkeeping and accounting. I have also worked as a trainer and project manager for a software company located on Long Island. Main part of this role was to provide individual and group training on all the modules of an ERP system.
One of the main reasons I enjoy training and tutoring is to pass on my knowledge that I have gained over the years. I found I can cut through a lot of the clutter and confusion that a student my encounter in a classroom situation.
I have been using Excel since it's inception. It is a great tool with a lot of basic features that tend to get overlooked.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
