I have spent a total of 30 years in school! I love academia and I love to teach. I have a breadth of experience in many fields of math and science as well as liberal arts. Let me briefly tell you about some of my experience. I have earned a bachelor's in biology at Mercy College with pre-medicine credits in chemistry and mathematics as well as a minor in English. As an undergraduate I worked for the college as a teacher's aid in physics and chemistry online. I also worked one on one in the Mercy college science tutoring lab and did private tutoring in biology and algebra for grade school and high school students.
After my undergraduate studies I was accepted to New York Medical College and earned my MD. In addition, during my time at New York Medical College I earned my PhD in neurophysiology in the department of Cell Biology. Since earning my degree I have been working as a resident in Neurology and teaching a course in pathophysiology as an adjunct professor.
Tutored algebra during my college years and have taken math courses up to calculus 3.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
