My passion for teaching and helping others derives from my love of learning. From a young age, I engaged in extensive reading and writing; both, creatively and academically. I have taken my passion for the written word to excel at the top of my English B.A./M.A. program and then to law school. During my English program, I had my poetry published as well as an Oxford Journal publication based on a book review I drafted with a professor. During law school, I engaged in many extra curricular honor programs that place an emphasis on writing, such as Law Review and Moot Court. While on Moot Court I was the Associate Editor and then elected to President and Editor-in-Chief. Both of these roles required extensive drafting and editing skills. Additionally, while I clerked a a mid-size law firm I assisted the partners of the firm in writing several articles that have been published online. I believe that the combination of my experiences in English and the law would make me a very inspiring advocate to those in need of literary and grammatical guidance.
As I always strive for excellence, I will always request feedback for my work and will not bill a lesson where my client is completely dissatisfied.
Although I am a very flexible person, I do have a 24-hour cancellation which will allow me to reschedule my day as necessary. I will also allow for make-up lessons.
In order to make my tutoring sessions as comfortable as possible, I am available to tutor in the evenings and on weekends. I will travel to you. I am willing to tutor in Staten Island/Manhattan on weekdays and Staten Island/ parts of New Jersey on weekends.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
