“**Extremely patient. David is a very nice man to work with.**”

I'm a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Mathematics. I currently work at a Mathnasium tutoring center, mostly with children of ages 5-13. I have learned a lot there; both in engaging students and math teaching methodology. It's been a fun and really rewarding experience for me.

If you are looking for someone to help your child understand math while giving them confidence to tackle any math problem, David G. is the tutor to hire! I knew that in order for my child to be a successful math student, understanding the core concepts would be important. We were not just looking for the quick fix; we wanted a tutor who would allow our child to be able to understand how she arrived at a particular answer.

David G. will help your child with the needed skills and methodology in math to achieve success even after the sessions are over.

Thank you David!

I worked with David to help me with a summer college-level calculus class. He was very prompt, had a very available schedule, and most importantly, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was great at explaining concepts and showing me how to work through problems. His tutoring really helped me excel in the class. David is a great tutor and anyone would be lucky to work with him!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have tutored an 11th grader for the math portion of ACT. I helped increase her score from 22 to 27. When I was applying to college, I took SAT and got 760 in math. Since then I've received a degree in math from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Alg. II and Trigonometry is a fairly advanced course that requires expertise and experience. Even some certified math teachers are not fluent in this subject.

As a math major, I've taken this course in college. We organized study groups and explained concepts to each other for many long hours. I wound up getting an A- in the class.

I was asked recently to tutor someone on Exact and Bernoulli equations and felt really good about the job I did.

I'm now thoroughly reviewing the material and understand it even more clearly that I did in college.

I teach mostly 2nd-5th graders. To be able to be successful in math, a child must build an understanding in elementary math constructs (as opposed to memorizing steps).

I have studied Linear Algebra in college in 3 different courses including a rigorous course with mathematical proofs.

I tutored Linear Algebra to a student who was taking Precalculus.

At this level, it's still not too late to learn not to be afraid of math. It's important to understand these concepts from all angles. I have a lot of experience in teaching and engaging students at this level.

I believe with practice, you can dramatically increase your SAT math score. There are a lot of problems that can be categorized and learned with just plain practice. All you need to do is understand how to do them (this is where I come in :), practice and you'll see similar ones pop out over and over again.

There are also different methods to do them. So, depending on your level of understanding, you can approach them in different ways.
