We had a great experience with Joe, I felt very comfortable and so did my son with his teaching skills. My son and I felt very comfortable and confident with Joe's help. Joe's lessons were well planned. He was patient and able to assess strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly. I am very satisfied and I would recommend Joe as a tutor to any other family.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught all K-8th grade subjects. I know the elementary school curriculum, including the best reading materials for children. I enjoy teaching children how to read and write. I feel that all the core subjects revolve around increasing their reading strengths.
