I have experience teaching throughout the curriculum areas as well as working with the special needs population ages 3-12 which includes social skills and eating interventions for autistic and Asperger's children. My teaching population includes PDD,LD, ED, ADD/ADHD, behavioral problems and down syndrome children. As a teacher teach the basics of phonics, literature: reading, writing response, math, science, social studies, computer and study skills which is extremely important. I believe teaching is not just limited to the 3R's but it's the hands on experience of life that helps a child learn to meet and achieve the daily challenges that they will face now and through adulthood.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
