I am currently attending the University at Albany (SUNY) studying Biology with a minor in Logic (3.92 GPA). I am very enthusiastic about learning and teaching sciences to people of all ages and I am able to connect to a wide variety of personality types. I believe all people have the capability of learning subjects, you just have to relate the subject to an area of interest; something that I am quite good at. Once the tutoring sessions begin, I aim to improve understanding in the subject, improve of test scores, and instill confidence in the student as they will have an increased understanding of the subject.
I graduated high school with high honors and I have passed all of my mathematics, science, and English courses with an A average. Math is a very straightforward subject and given the correct guidance, any student is capable of learning an understanding mathematical formulas and theorems.
I am naturally very enthusiastic about biology and natural sciences. It is my area of focus in college and I wish to make a career of it. I am positive with my wide array of knowledge in science that I am capable of relating some aspect of science to an area of interest of the student.
I also am very experienced with playing the trumpet. I have performed in the New York All-State orchestra and have achieved an A on two level 6 NYSSMA solos. I am very capable of teaching any students basic and intermediate trumpeteering. I believe learning how to play in instrument is a great learning tool as it can boost comprehension, IQ levels, and confidence of students who learn to play an instrument. It is also a great skill that will stay with a student for the rest of their life.
