I have passed the NYS fingerprint background check required of all school workers.
I want you to succeed in your academic pursuits. I have experience teaching elementary students, adolescents and adults. I have worked with special needs children, taught kindergarten, taught middle school American History and Science, and taught college level courses in education. I completed all but the dissertation for a PhD in Education at Northwestern University. I love to help people learn!
I am very good at writing research reports and I would love to help you learn how to do research and to compile all you have learned so that you can write a cohesive and clear report of all your research. I am specially experienced at doing research in education, but I can help you learn to research most topics. I graded student papers at Northwestern University and was surprised at how many students did not know how to write a cohesive paragraph. I have experience working as a proofreader and I would be willing to go over any papers that you are assigned and help you to edit your paper so that it is clear and uses correct grammar. Spellchecker can only do so much!
My hobby has been American History and I have done extensive independent reading on the subject, plus I taught it in middle school. Again, if you need help with writing essay questions, I would be glad to help you analyze the questions and write a thesis statement and essay. I will show you haw to get the maximum points for your answers.
My style of tutoring is to tailor the sessions to your needs. If I am helping you with your writing, I would need to see samples of your writing in order to assess the best way to help you to improve your writing. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to succeed in your chosen field of study! I have passed the NYS fingerprint background check required of all school workers.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
