In December 2015, I completed my student teaching requirement at the University of Miami, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Vocal Jazz Performance. I also received my certification in K-12 Music in the state of Florida.

As an undergraduate, I received extensive music training in a variety of teaching settings. I have had extensive experience teaching children music from New York, Miami, as well as Barcelona, and Costa Rica. The comprehensive music education program at the Frost School of Music gave me a strong foundation in vocal performance, choral conducting, and the skills to teach techniques for all musical instrument families.

What I love about teaching/tutoring is allowing opportunities for the student to be successful. I tailor my program to fit the student's interests and needs and at the end of each lesson I want to feel that my students have accomplished at least one thing. In my teaching, I do my best to not only show the students what to practice but how to practice as well.

As a musician as well as educator, I have extensive knowledge of many different types of instruments as well as theoretical concepts of music. I can provide lessons in drums, guitar, electric bass, voice, piano, and beginning strings, woodwind, and brass instruments. I can also provide tutoring in subjects such as sight singing, sight reading, ear training, and music theory. As a performer and teacher, I utilize many different styles in my teaching including classical, jazz, rock, r&b, blues, pop, hip hop, etc.

If you wish to contact me about lessons, you can reach me by email or phone.

I can travel in Westchester, NYC, and I can do online as well.

I really look forward to hearing from you and guiding you to success in your musical journey!
Looking forward to meeting you!

Tutor that goes out of his way to provide guidance and create passion

Andrew has put extra effort to stimulate my son's interest in piano. He has spent a lot of time outside of the lesson to prepare, brought special materials and as a result, increased my son's interest in playing. He has gone above and beyond what is expected and is bringing diverse approaches to teaching - understanding the gaps and needs of the student.

Knowledgeable and fun tutor!

We just started with Andrew and I see immediate results in my sons guitar playing and enthusiasm. He tailors his lesson to the personality and needs of the student. He is motivating and encouraging which is important when teaching younger students.

patient and professional music tutor

My seven year old daughter came to Andrew as a beginner. Andrew teaches at a level appropriate for her, including basic skill and interesting songs. He makes the lesson very structured while still full of fun. Andrew is also sharing with me the APP Practicia to help my daughter practice between the lessons. He writes the notes every time and gives me feed back about the lesson. My daughter has a short attention span, but after 2 classes, she can have a 45 minute lesson with Andrew. Andrew is really patient, gentle, professional man and we like him.
