Hi! My name is Michael. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University, and worked 2.5 years as a Software Engineer at Google doing Frontend Development (mobile & web). I cover most major programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc) and am also willing to learn new languages in case of any new challenge you throw my way :D! Hi! My name is Michael. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University, and worked 2.5 years as a Software Engineer at Google doing Frontend Development (mobile & web). I cover most major programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc) and am also willing to learn new languages in case of any new challenge you throw my way :D! I have been teaching/tutoring since the time I was in Undergrad (classroom setting & one on one), so since the past 9 years! In all that time teaching, I've realized that there is nothing more rewarding then seeing that expression of joy and relief when my students finally grasp a tough subject. Thus, I am really passionate about making sure my students succeed!

I tutor in all things Computer Science, from programming to logic to APs, and even do SAT Tutoring as well. On the language side, I have extensive background in Arabic and Portuguese due to much time spent studying the languages in countries like Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Jordan (for Arabic) as well as Brazil, Angola (for Portuguese). Over the past year and a half, I have been conducting research concerning the impact that supervised learning could potentially have in addressing the problem of choice paralysis. This program was all written in Python, where it was taking advantage of key Python machine learning and data processing libraries, such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy. I was struggling with a Graph problem, Michael stayed up really late to help me out. He is very smart and patient, he guided me with step-by-step explanations and made sure I understand everything clearly. I liked how he approached the data structure problem and constantly came up with solutions to optimize the code. I highly recommend Michael to CS students!
