About Anthony

Reading:

Is your elementary age child struggling with reading? Does he/she guess at or skip over words they don't know? A weakness in reading or inability to read will obviously impact all other subjects in a negative way. Maybe you've tried teaching them yourself or even having them tutored, but the results haven't shown much improvement. It's a scary situation to be in, and even more frustrating is the possibility that the teachers at your child's school have been unsuccessful in teaching your child to read. The fact of the matter is that most teachers (even at the elementary level) aren't formally trained in teaching reading. Oftentimes even the "reading specialists" at the child's school may not have the tools to help your child improve in reading.

If you've tried everything and your child clearly needs much more than just a little bit of patchwork, there is hope. You need somebody who is trained in a highly effective research-proven reading program, such as The Wilson Reading System (and Fundations). This is where I may be able to help.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...

Math:

I can help your child in elementary level Math also. Is your child having a hard time with addition, subtraction, or other common math processes? Does a poor knowledge of multiplication & division impact other concepts? Do they have difficulty memorizing their facts? I can teach them strategies that will work and they won't be forced to memorize facts (many kids simply are not good at rote memorization).

I am able to work at your home or at a public location like a library. I can also provide references upon request and would be willing to meet you beforehand, so you can choose whether or not you want to use my services.
