Hi, I have been teaching French for 28 years, Spanish for 17 years, and Arabic for 6 years. I have taught in different schools in the US and overseas; I've taught different levels, in the classroom and privately. I enjoy teaching and dealing with learners of different abilities. I like to create fun and diverse activities for my students including games, computer activities, reading, listening, and writing. I have also traveled with my students to European countries and I use materials and concrete experiences from my travel.

Berka is providing me with the balance of conversation, reading, and grammar that I need. He is also able to target the teaching to my level. I appreciate both his patience and his encouragement. At the same time, he is realistic and able to identify what I need to tackle as a next step in my learning.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Hi, I grew up in an Arabic country and did all my schooling in Arabic. I like to read Arabic poetry, novels, and watch Arabic movies. I have been teaching an introductory Arabic class in high school. I designed the curriculum, planned all the lessons and activities. My students enjoy the class and I love teaching them.
I am a native speaker of French with more than 25 years of teaching experience. I taught all levels of French and all kinds of students. I have experience with the regents as well as the AP exam. I travel to France and other French-speaking countries with my students so I can keep my knowledge up to date. I can help students who want to learn French for travel but also the ones preparing for a rigorous exam. I'm adaptable and I make learning fun.
