Hi there, I'm Darsh! I am currently pursuing a dual-degree at the University of Maryland at College Park for Mathematics and Computer Science. Ever since I was younger I had an extreme love of mathematics which only grew as time went on. I attended the Bronx High School of Science and during my time there I had a chance to explore this interest in depth all while developing new interests, such as computer science.
Ever since my junior year of high school, I've been tutoring various subjects such as the SHSAT along with the SAT and all levels of Algebra and Trigonometry. I previously worked at a tutoring company called Khan's Tutorial, teaching these subjects in a classroom setting with approximately 20-30 students each session. During my time there, I learned of my newfound interest in teaching. I loved seeing my students grow and succeed. Much more than that, I love to learn from them as well. Since I've moved to Maryland, I've been tutoring at Varsity Tutors, teaching all levels of math- including calculus- and physics.
Once again, I truly, truly love to see my students grow, not just in academics but as people as well.
I have been tutoring math subjects to students of all ages for the past 4 years of my life. I have scored a perfect 800 on the SAT math section and, to this day, teach students in Algebra, Trigonometry, and the SAT.
During my time at my high school, Bronx Science, I took my first astronomy course and fell in love with it. Since then, I've been taking various astronomy courses at UMD to further my knowledge in this area.
I really love teaching and meeting new students. It's one of my favorite things to do. I really want to benefit the students and help them learn. I try to create a comfortable environment where they can learn and appreciate any feedback given. I'm very easy to reach and will get back to you within the hour most of the time.
