My passion for numbers and accounting dates back to High School. I have almost 30 years of public and private accounting experience mostly on Long Island. For the last 20 years or so, I have been in positions of VP of Finance with small to medium sized companies. The size of the companies have provided me with the skill set to be a well versed accountant of many areas. I have loved being part of these companies where I made a difference and added value to the processes and people that work for me. I have always been a people person. I continue to get excited when someone is perplexed about a bookkeeping or accounting topic but after conversation with them, they have the "ahhh" moment.
I feel proud that I succeeded at being a good mentor to my staff during my career and helped them grow in to better bookkeepers and accountants. I am patient and no question is ever a stupid question.
Long Island is where I have lived with my family my entire life and I wish to give back to others. I enjoy sharing my accounting knowledge in a more comfortable setting than a classroom and help those that are struggling with learning the subject.
I encourage you to contact me if you need help with high school or college bookkeeping or accounting.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
