Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Career Development

With 6 yrs. experience as a college level instructor, I have been teaching courses such as Career Skills and Critical Thinking. These courses deal with resume, cover letter, thank you letter, and portfolio development. Interviewing, networking, skill assessment, dress code, and other preparatory skills are also addressed. Both courses also stress the importance of thinking outside of the box to critically examine self and interactions with others.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am Permanently Certified in Elementary General Education (N-6) and Special Education (K-12). I have experience teaching 3rd and 4th grades full-time and various grades, K-12, prior to permanent certification.
