I have a Masters Degree in Education from Bank Street College and a post graduate degree from Fordham University in Educational Supervision. I have a lot of experience in planning and designing curriculum and in using mindful learning strategies in my practice. I work with children who are home schooled and those attending public and private schools who are in pre-K through 8th grades.
I work with students who are gifted and talented and those who have learning challenges. I teach organization and planning strategies in all the subject areas such as literacy, history and science. I integrate technology into the lessons at times, and provide highly engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of all my students.

With my M.S.Ed., in education and counseling, I am trained in Developmental Guidance, Wilson Reading and Schools Attuned. I have worked with schools and train and supervise teachers in the NYC public schools and in NY independent schools. I have advocated and run schools for children with learning challenges and continue to advocate and support families who have children with special learning needs.
I have worked with pre-K through 6th grade students. I have taught guidance programs in classroom and conducted small and large group counseling groups and tutorials to children in schools. I have supervised teachers, I have been trained in Wilson Reading, Schools Attuned, and was an Instructional Support Specialist and Trainer in NYC. I employ contemplative educational practices.
I was founder and director of the Gateway Middle School, and supervised, taught and coached model lessons.
My pre-school experience in teaching was in the Rodeph Shalom Nursery School and in Manhattan Day School. Both are Hebrew Day Schools.
I am privately school in Judaic Studies and Hebrew Language, have taken the NYS Regents in Hebrew and have studied, lived and visited Israel and continue to do so.
It would be so nice to tutor children in Hebrew Language.

I am a certified educator and currently supervising Arts Education Student Teachers as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Queens College, CUNY. I give seminars on the integration of arts and science in education at the New York Botanical Gardens to NYC teachers-the seminar is on environmental education and digital photography.

My undergrad and graduate degrees in psychology and Ed counseling have placed me as a guidance counselor in schools. I have used techniques of stress reduction and mindful education practice to enable students with presentation anxiety to excel in theater arts and all academic subjects when presenting to large and small groups.
I help children with special needs to overcome stressful situations publicly, and teach communication and oral presentation skills that boost confidence and enhance theatre arts.
