About Brianna

Bio

Hi everyone, I'm Brianna. I am a first year Medical Resident at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla NY. I completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University earning my MD degree and scoring a 270 (96th percentile) on USMLE Step 2 and a 259 (99th percentile) on USMLE Step 3. I have extensive experience tutoring medical students.
I completed my undergrad degree at Fairfield University with a double major in Biology and Psychology and a Minor in Spanish and I graduated with Honors....

Hi everyone, I'm Brianna. I am a first year Medical Resident at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla NY. I have extensive experience tutoring medical students.
I completed my undergrad degree at Fairfield University with a double major in Biology and Psychology and a Minor in Spanish and I graduated with Honors. I also completed a Masters Degree at the National University of Ireland at Galway in 2018. I started tutoring in high school as a volunteer and I enjoyed it so much, that I sought it out as a job in college.

The youngest student I worked with was in Kindergarten grade and I work with students up through medical school! I tutor Math from Elementary School up through Pre-Calculus and have experience with math with from 1st grade through SAT Math, ACT Math, Pre-Calc, and Trigonometry. I also provide tutoring in Sciences- I have tutored ACT Science, HS/college biology and chemistry and elementary grade science. I also have experience tutoring Spanish at all levels.
I also have experience tutoring for an agency in SAT and ACT prep across all sections. My standardized test scores speak to my ability not only to help students with content but to understand the test itself well. I scored a 2150 on the SAT, a 32 on the ACT, and 513 (89-90 percentile) on the MCAT (which is the exam for medical college admission). I therefore, feel I am qualified to teach test prep and study skills as well.

My previous tutoring work was both in person and on-line both 1 on 1 and in a small group (2-6 students, face to face as well as online through various platforms. So, let me know what works best to help you or your child succeed!

WONDERFUL TUTOR!!!

I took biology around five years ago and now that it is time to take the MCAT, I felt helpless and in terrible shape ready-wise for the biology section. I came to Brianna with an enormous task- reteach me everything that would be tested in the biology section. I have had previous tutors that were overwhelmed, didn't want to take on the challenge, and one gave up on me - I'm not surprised at any of the tutors' reactions except Briana's. She asked me how I learn, how I would best benefit from her, and how can she help. I told her I needed to basically relearn biology and she didn't even flinch. She said okay, no worries, let's get started. After only a few sessions I have been able to learn AND retain more about biology than I have over a two semester course. She is intelligent, she is able to break everything down and answer every question I have. I am actually excited to learn from her that I booked an standing tutoring lesson three times a weak for a MUCH lower price than my previous MCAT tutors. I would definitely recommend Brianna to anyone needing help with any sections, classes, tests, or general tutoring. She's great and has given me hope once again that maybe my biology section isn't as hopeless as I thought.
