I worked in the Canisius Tutoring Center as a math tutor for my 4 years at Canisius, and I was teaching assistant in the Math Department at UConn for my 3 years at UConn. My teaching assistant experience includes running discussion classes in Calculus I, Calculus II, and Differential Equations. I also have been a homework grader for other math courses such as geometry, a math in politics class, and a logic, set theory, and proofs class. I have always loved math, and I love helping others learn and understand math even more!

MATLAB

I started using MATLAB in Classical Mechanics, and though I didn't understand how to use it then, I've recently gotten more experience with it in Numerical Analysis. After using MATLAB for Numerical Analysis for a semester, I am familiar with using it and creating m-files for functions, loops, and a few other basics.

Math

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I just recently spent a semester teaching a class in Differential Equations. A lot of my students were happy with having me as their teaching assistant, and as a result a lot of them performed well in the course. It was a lot of fun, and having not seen the subject for a few years, I am refreshed in the subject now and am much better equipped to tutor Differential Equations than I was in the past.
Discrete Math,

Discrete Math

After taking Bridge to Abstract Math / Logic, Set Theory, and Proofs at Canisius, Discrete Math is the same. I've tutored students in both courses and the material that is covered in Discrete Math is the same as the basic ideas of the Logic, Set Theory, and Proofs course that I took.
Finite Math,

Finite Math

I tutored students frequently in Finite Mathematics at the Canisius College Tutoring Center while I was there. It was a while ago, but I still remember must of it. It's not much different than some of the other math courses that I've helped students with.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra was one of my favorite Math courses that I've taken, and I'd be happy to tutor students in this subject. It is one of the more useful courses for Math and different Sciences. The ideas from Linear Algebra and matrix arithmetic also appear in other courses such as Numerical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Differential Equations, and Physics.
Logic,

Logic

I have experience with Math logic in proofs, as well as Boolean logic that occurs in Electronics and circuitry. I'm not too strong in Philosophy logic, but since proofs show up in a lot of different Math courses, I've gotten use to using Logic, and I'd be happy to tutor it.

Outstanding in all aspects!!!

Jason is an outstanding tutor and has been a huge help for my daughter. My daughter is in the 11th grade and has a Calculus teacher who just terrible. We had to seek help for her outside her high school and I am glad we found this website and Jason. Her grades have dramatically improved since we started with him. He is extremely kind, friendly, and patient. He is very timely with email replies as well. He is dependable, and always on time. He knows the material and helps her a great deal. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone!
