Hey, prospective student! Let me tell you a little about me. I recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor's in Biology with concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Psychological and Brain Sciences. I love everything about the brain, mind, and psychology and will eventually attend medical school to become a psychiatrist.

I have been a tutor for 4+ years, mentoring high school and undergraduate students in sciences like Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Chemistry as well as Test Prep. My approach to tutoring is very friendly and encouraging and allows my students to understand the framework and appreciate the fascinating aspects of their subject without getting bogged down with boring drills all the time.

I have a great history of taking standardized tests. I scored a 520 on the MCAT (first try!) in August 2018 and have been doing private MCAT Tutoring since then. I scored a 35 on the ACT (also first try!) in 2014 and have a couple of years of ACT Tutoring experience.

I earned my 520 (98th percentile) on the MCAT after only 2 months of self-study--no expensive classes needed! From my college education and outside research, I understand all the concepts tested on the exam very well, I know the best ways to study and I know the test-taking strategies to successfully apply the knowledge and get you your dream score as well. All you have to do is put in the work!

My favorite thing about tutoring is teaching students long-term skills for self-learning that they can apply to anything they wish to learn in the future. The keys to learning are drive and making the information work for you. Once you find a way to do that, you can learn anything!

When it come to the ACT, my scores were English 36, Reading 34, Science 36. I am naturally very good at math and I'm a great teacher which allows me to distill the concepts into easy to understand chunks, and give you the tools you need to succeed as well! Most students approach the science section from the wrong angle which results in mistakes and lower scores than they are capable of. I know the best approach for getting a great Science score and I am ready to share! I am also an expert writer with a lot of experience in journalistic, research, essay, and creative writing styles. I have an excellent grasp on grammar rules and am very good at teaching them my students, even those as young as elementary school. My understanding of standardized test taking strategies also comes in handy.

I have years of experience, a depth of knowledge unlike anyone else's, and an great track record with standardized testing. I know how to break concepts down in ways that are simple to understand and fun to learn. I'm easy-going and funny so you'll never feel intimidated. Contact me to learn more or schedule a lesson!
