I enjoy seeing students progress. The fundamentals of photography including composition, manual settings, white balance, and file formats can be tricky to understand. I receive joy when I get to see a topic "click" with my students and I strive to create as many of those moments as possible. I have photographer over 150 weddings and events throughout the country and love the field of photography and I enjoy sharing this field with others.
I am extremely proficient in Adobe Lightroom. I know a plethora of shortcuts, and the ins and outs of the entire program. I enjoy teaching students about the catalog system used by Lightroom, the layout, entire develop panel, batch file naming, syncing editing settings, and utilizing all of the powerful tools that Lightroom has to offer.
I am a professional retoucher. My expertise in photoshop includes working in a non-destructive workflow, cutting out items perfectly using paths, powerful adjustment layers, layer masks, actions, selections, and workspaces.
I am also a professional photographer. In photography, I teach my students about manual settings, composition, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, camera and lens choices, flash photography, off camera lighting, professional studio lighting, high-speed sync, portraits, posing, and commercial photography.
