Stephanie G. is a graduate of Tisch School of the Performing Arts and spent her first two years of University studying Intellectual History. Her work has been featured in COSMOPOLITAN, BUST Magazine, the skint, and the Bushwick Daily. She is a storyteller through a wide variety of platforms including performance, music and the written word. Stephanie was raised with a deep love of Jewish texts and spent the years after high school —on her own, as a student in Yeshiva in Jerusalem, and as a fellow at Yeshivat Hadar in NYC—trying to re-approach and re-envision her relationship to religion. She currently teaches at three Hebrew schools, and is training as a Kohenet at the Kohenet Institute. Stephanie believes that there’s not much we can actually know about the spiritual or meta-physical world, but that our stories and philosophies are beautiful and useful metaphors to help us understand our lives, our relationships to others, and ourselves. For individual projects she encourages her students trust their uncensored first drafts as little doors into their unconscious truth, to take risks as artists. She encourages her activist students to discover the solutions sans saviorism, that don’t benefit our need for self-gratification and to the listen to of those actually impacted by the issue, and she encourages all her thinker students to use Jewish stories and beyond as interpretable tales to try on as lenses through which to deal with and understand reality, each other and themselves.

Stephanie G. graduated from the Tisch School of Performing Arts where she also spent two years studying Intellectual History. She was raised in Jerusalem with a deep love of Jewish text, went to a Jewish Day School, spent a year studying in a Jerusalem seminary, and was a summer fellow at Yeshivat Hadar in NYC. In addition to Individual tutoring she teaches at three Hebrew schools and tutors with Lab/Shul.
