Bio

I'm currently a fourth year college student majoring in Economics. I want to pursue a position in investment banking of a hedge fund trader while being an academic and sports mentor. In high school, I was on the girls' bowling and table tennis team and ranked one of the top players in my team and the city division. In addition to bowling and table tennis, I play volleyball and go jogging in New York City 4 times a week. I am a firm believer of good habits and efficient work.

Alongside interests in sports, guiding students in their academic work gives me a lot of satisfaction. At the end of the day, I reflect on what I've done right for my student, and what I need to improve on to better my next session.

I was recognized and presented with honor roll of excellence in high school physical sciences and college chemistry. I tutor my classmates, assist professors in their office hours and simplify difficult concepts for students to understand.

I don't call myself an expert in table tennis, bowling or volleyball. Before I got into playing these sports, I was just like any other average person who's never tried it out before. When I did, I found myself constantly going back for more and improving my serves and plays especially in table tennis and volleyball. It was a bit difficult starting out, but with time and more practice, I got the chance to become more proficient.

If you're a student or someone who's needs help understanding concepts in chemistry or improving your class grade, I am confident enough to be your mentor!

Genetics

During my semester as a Nursing student in New York City, I have taken Genetics for Nursing under a Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Sharoff expected us to know the basic genetics so she did not teach us Punnett squares but instead the deeper workings of genetics down to the specific protein. The class also had to draw a family history of a health disorder and trace it back to our ancestors and write up a report on how we can manipulate our environmental factors in an attempt to prevent this health illness from surfacing in our proband. I am currently brushing up on basic genetic lessons and hoping to guide the younger generation in understanding the inner workings of our bodies from the very beginning.

Table Tennis

Table Tennis

I found a deep interest in Table Tennis during my Junior year in high school when the girls' table tennis team was first created. I didn't become a professional overnight (still not an expert), but every night after practice, I'd go home and consistently watch table tennis videos on YouTube and seeing what I can implement from the videos into our next practice. With each practice and game, my team and I lead our school into the city's top divisions and individual tournaments. I still play table tennis with my former high school teammates during our recreation time.

Very patient and friendly with my daughter!

I really like yang's attitude towards my daughter in their session. she acts more like a friend than a tutor which worked well for my daughter. Thank you so much.
