Physics PhD looking for motivated students.
I have a PhD in physics and my undergraduate degree included a major in mathematics. I worked as a teaching assistant for 5 years while I was a graduate student including introductory (first year) courses in mechanics and electricity and magnetism. I also have experience as a TA in modern physics (introductory special relativity and basic quantum mechanics).
High School Mathematics: Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.

Knowledgeable and dedicated tutor
Elliott is very patient, very responsible and cares about his students. I have his help for modern physics which is the first physics course I take after 10 years away from the subject as a return student from leave. I have very vague memory about many concepts especially weak at deriving formulas, but he never shown impatience and taught me step by step to develop my skill of deriving formulas. He is very knowledgeable about the subject, welcomes questions and always figures out precise and practical way to explain them. He also motivates students to think independently and develop better understanding of the concepts. After he knew I intend to go for geophysics, he gave me encouragement for graduate studies in the area. He really wants his student to do well and succeed. With his help I was able to graduate with an A in the subject and continue my education in physics which I long for always. I can eventually go back to physics after a interruption of school. He is very good at managing time and also never causes lateness issue to student which makes him the best out of the tutors I had. He always dedicates his time and only charges student time they need. He is definitely an amazing tutor who I look forward to working with in the future again.
