New York University (Neuroscience)
New York University Stern School of Business, MBA (Enrolled)
I am a NYU Stern MBA student working in finance. I also graduated from NYU for my undergradate degree. I work as a financial analyst at a F500 corporation and work with numbers all day. I scored a 780 in the math section on the SATs and have experience teaching elementary/middle school level math for 5+ years. My neuroscience degree required courses in calculus, statistics, physics, and other applications of math in science. I have also taken courses in accounting, economics, and regression for my business minor.
Psychology is a passion of mine that I love to teach. I double majored in neuroscience and psychology and graduated with a 3.7 major GPA in psychology and took graduate school level courses at the end of my undergraduate career. In addition, I have conducted 5+ years of brain-related research between Columbia University Medical Center and New York University. My passion for psychology led me to found an academic psychology society in college where I was able to peer mentor over 500 students, match students with research labs, and foster relationships with professors.
I studied classical music for piano and flute at a music school and was selected to participate in New York State All-State, Area-All State, and All-County ensembles through NYSSMA. I started teaching music before tutoring.
I am very flexible on weekends and evenings (after 6:30PM). I am available to teach in New York, NY, Westchester County, or online. Also, my rates are flexible depending on the subject and needs of the student. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
In addition to taking AP Biology and the SAT subject test in high school, I took Principles of Biology I & II, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology, and other courses in college.
