I have been tutoring children and young adults since I was 13 years old. I worked in an Enopi Learning Center tutoring children between the ages of 4 and 17 years old in Math, English and Science. Through high school and college, I assisted students in SAT/ACT prep, college admission essays, psychology, and a variety of sciences.
I have a degree in Neuroscience from Columbia University, where I focused on behavioral neuroscience and psychology. I worked in a research lab for the New York Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University Medical Center, where I studied motivational and cognitive deficits in schizophrenia and depression through animal models. Currently, I work as an in-home behavioral interventionist, utilizing the behaviorism/Skinnerism school of thought.
I have always had a passion for writing, with my first poem being published at the age of 13. I have written editorials for magazines such as Allure and VANDL. I continue to write in my free time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
