I started studying the violin at age 8 and I performed in professional orchestras and ensembles around the world. I moved to New York City from Israel in 2009 to study composition in Mannes College. After Mannes, I successfully completed a DMA in composition at Manhattan School of Music in 2015, and I am currently living and working in New York City.
I have a DMA in Composition from Manhattan School of Music, and I have over 30 original compositions including opera, orchestral, theater and chamber works. I am currently working on my second opera, that will be performed in LaMama in NYC in 2018.
I taught music theory and sight-singing classes at the college level for the past several years at Manhattan School of Music and Syracuse University. I know these subjects can be some of the most challenging aspects of music school, but I specialize in improving students abilities to read music, no matter what level you are in. have successfully helped dozens of students pass through the hurdles of these subjects.
I have a Masters degree in violin performance and I have experience playing in professional orchestras around the world. I played in the Israeli Phiharmonic and in chamber ensembles in Europe and in the US. I teach students of all ages, and I am Suzuki Certified. I studied with Hagai Shaham, one of the greatest teachers in Israel, and I personally performed much of the repertoire for violin including the Mendelssohn, Bruch, Sibelius and Beethoven concertos.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a DMA from Manhattan School of Music in the subject, and I have experience teaching and tutoring music theory at the college level at both Manhattan School of Music and Syracuse University.
My music was performed at public performances in New York City and around the world, in the ISCM festival in Vienna in 2013, in the Israeli New Music Days in Jerusalem, and my music is published with Bachovich Publications. I participated in the prestigious "Composers and the Voice" workshop run by American Opera Projects in Brooklyn.
I taught this ear training for six semesters at Manhattan School of Music. I also taught it for one semester at Syracuse University. I have a master's and a doctorate in music composition, which is closely related to the subject.
I was born and raised in Israel. I am a native speaker and I studied Hebrew grammar and writing in middle school and high school in Israel.
