Teaching style is tailored to the needs of each student, as everyone works in their own unique way and at their own pace. She primarily teaches beginning students out of the Essential Elements and Suzuki Violin/Viola books. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a conservatory-level musician, I have had rigorous and dedicated education in my field. I have had a highly well-rounded education in music at the Manhattan School of Music, and have work intimately with world-renowned artists on a daily basis (such as the American String Quartet, Maestro Perry So, and the late Maestro Kurt Masur). I have collaborated with fellow classmates who have recently won positions with the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, the New World Symphony, and several other professional symphony orchestras. I am also a regular freelancer around NYC and have worked professionally with the Garden State Philharmonic and Hunter College classically. I also have experience in contemporary/pop music and have studio recorded with famous artists such as Ryan Tedder from One Direction, and with U2 at Downtown Music Studios in SoHo.
