About Paul

I am a Flatiron School graduate currently working as a Front-End Developer at IAC Applications. I am proficient in Javascript, React.js, CSS, and HTML. My favorite aspect of programming is that I am required to constantly learn and evolve in order to stay in the career. Learning is one of the greatest things in life and I would love to help others learn as well!

I also serve in the children's ministry of my church. I also used to work for an after school academy in high school teaching kids age 6-12 fundamentals of math and english. I would love to be able to be a tutor for fundamentals of Javascript, CSS, and HTML. Teaching is an important aspect of programming as being able to communicate effectively is highly correlated to being able to write code effectively. The best programmers are some of the most eloquent writers/communicators. And so I am very excited to be able to teach programming!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
