In high school, I graduated as an IB Diploma recipient with a 4.52 GPA. As for test scores, I scored in the 99+ percentile on the SAT with a perfect score in Critical Reading. I was accepted to Harvard (attending), Yale, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia (Full Tuition), and William & Mary (Full Ride). I have won numerous writing awards at both the national and international level, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Medal, 1st Place in the International Torrance Legacy Creative Awards, 2nd Place in the BYU High School Writing Contest, and Honorable Mention in YoungArts. I was published in The Best Teen Writing of 2015 and honored at the Department of Education.
I also co-coached a girls' soccer team (now u8) for past four years and ran my own small group soccer camp for three years. I have experience as a writing tutor and have helped students in regular, honors, and IB classes with essays and presentations. I founded a creative writing club in high school that hosted writing workshops, guest speaking events, and open mic nights. My creative writing club greatly influenced my tutoring style as I learned the importance of giving critical feedback while still helping a student's individual voice develop.
