University of Colorado - Boulder (Chemical Engineering)
I am a big nerd for all things chemistry and math. I am a recent college graduate with two degrees (one in Chemistry and the other in Chemical Engineering). I have a strong passion for these subjects but more importantly I love teaching others how cool they can be! I am focused on helping students learn and grow in ways they never thought they could. I had an A average in all math and chemistry classes in college. I have tutored students in college, high school, and elementary in subjects including math, chemistry, and some reading and writing. My students include over 5 college students, 8 high school students, and 4 elementary students (group tutoring).
My students have gone on to improve test grades and ace finals! They also have gone on college, graduate school, and dental school! I love to help with homework but I also like to make my own study guides and testing materials. My students have reported that the testing materials have helped them while tutoring and outside tutoring (as another resource to study). I do require students to take time outside tutoring to develop questions, that way we can focus on conceptual techniques to help understand the material. It is important for me to understand why a student is struggling. Overall, I focus on helping students through practice problems and concept development.
I look forward to helping you love math and science as much as I do! Hello ALL,

Mandy was very helpful and knowledgeable in the subject. She thouroughly explained two difficult topics and worked through problems with me as well, definitely will be meeting again!
Mandy really knows the subject and is able to transfer her knowledge in an easy way. She also has other resources that she shares to give you extra help. She communicates in advance any changes in schedule. Lines of communication are always open. I would recommend Mandy R. to anyone.
She is an amazing tutor! I am not sure if the hours will work out but I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor. Mandy is very patient and easy going.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have provided extensive tutoring in algebra 1 from high school students to college level. I also received an A in this subject in high school and tested out of it to go into Calculus in college
I have helped many (up to 6 professionally) and held study groups in this subject in college. I have tutored Calculus 1 and 2. I also received As in all Calculus classes, Calc 1 through Calc 3.
I earned an A in Statistics courses (college engineering level), helped students receive As on tests, homework, and overall end of semester grades.
