I am a masters student at Columbia University studying environmental health science. I am currently a teaching assistant for two graduate level courses at Columbia: Climatology and Hydrology. I guide students through the lab sections of these courses and review material and concepts from lecture that they are struggling with.
In addition to my current teaching experience, I have over 10 years of tutoring experience with middle school and high school students from both public and private high schools in New York City. I have been lucky to work with many bright individuals in a wide range of subjects, including test preparation. As a tutor, I have been successful connecting with students, pinpointing their strengths and weaknesses, and providing strategies for improving their understanding of material.
I look forward to hearing from parents and students so that I may provide the extra help that is often needed for the most enriching educational experience! For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
