As a lifelong student-athlete, I have had countless years of experience managing the academic and athletic balance. This experience has led me to employ a tutoring style that caters to the delicate balance most students need - motivation coupled with understanding as to the taxing nature of a student's life and other activities. Being a coach has made me keen on establishing and cultivating relationships with the young people I have an opportunity to teach as it is critical to have a rapport with someone before they can freely and accurately communicate with you.
I enjoy keeping the learning environment loose and light-hearted and meeting students where their comfortable in terms of conversation and comprehension. I have tutored for several years throughout the city and have coached and been involved with basketball at countless levels including the collegiate and professional ranks.
I have a BA in Statistics. And I received a 760 on SAT Math exam. I have been a
Math and SAT tutor for three years and middle school math teacher for one year. I also have a minor in Creative Writing. My test scores are the following: 720 SAT English, 780 SAT Writing. And I have been a English and writing tutor for three years.
Basketball has been a lifelong occupation for me, it is far more a part of who I am rather than something that I do.
I played collegiately at Hunter College for four years. I annually instruct basketball skills at Five-Star Basketball Camp every summer. I have interned in the Basketball Operations department for the Brooklyn Nets. Most recently, have served as an assistant coach at Commonwealth Academy, a school that competes in the nationally renowned NEPSAC AA and was 24-6 overall, 19-2 in the league.
I have provided individual skills training and basketball instruction for the past three years. I am certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
