About Marcus

I am a career Basketball enthusiast as well as a ex-college basketball player. I started my career in middle school, playing in AUU basketball tournaments and assisted my team to place in state championships. In high school, I was one of the leading players on the team, while maintaining over a 3.5 GPA, which ultimately led to a full athletic and academic scholarship to Pembroke at University of North Carolina. Despite, my injury in my first year of college, I have maintained my love for basketball. This has been done by helping the younger generation to learn about the game of basketball through my various coaching experiences.

I believe that through basketball, youth can become more empowered to improve academically as well as athletically. I instill in my students that through discipline you will succeed in both arenas. My basketball background as a player and coach has enabled my to assist novice players to become competent players and good players to greatly improve their skill set.

If you want your child/children to learn the fundamentals of basketball or work on improving their basketball skills please call me to schedule a basketball tutoring session!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
