About Caroline

As a current student at Brown University, I understand the importance of working hard to achieve goals. My high SAT score was one of the biggest reasons I was able to get into Brown, and I genuinely enjoy helping other engaged students work their way to the college of their choice by getting an excellent score on this test. The SAT is not an incredibly difficult test in and of itself; I often see students tripped up for reasons that are very easy to eradicate. As someone who has taught students from ages 4-11, as well as having spent significant time with many adults, I have great communication skills with people of all ages, from all backgrounds, and with all interests. I have been teaching the SAT for the past two years to high school students, and am knowledgeable about how to teach the test in a way that is effective and oftentimes, fun. As with any test, mistakes on the SAT are generally easy to pin down but hard to eliminate; however, with hard work and persistence, I am guaranteed to help you conquer the mistakes that stand in the way of a perfect score.

As a high schooler studying for the test, I scored a 2330 total on the SAT (800 on Writing, 760 on Critical Reading and 770 on Math). I am extremely familiar with this test and and enjoy teaching it. There is no better feeling than helping somebody to improve with dedication and hard work! Every lesson I teach is specialized and sensitive to the individual's pacing, skills, and goals.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you feel that I would be a good fit for your SAT tutor. I look forward to working with you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

SAT Reading

I am very familiar with both taking the SAT Reading portion and teaching it. In high school, I scored a 760 on this section.

SAT Writing

In high school, I scored an 800 on this section, so am very familiar with how to achieve a perfect score.
