About Marina

Moscow born, I started my career as opera soloist at the age of 18. Since then I have worked in all major theaters of Russia and around the World. I have won several International Competitions, like Maria Callas (Grand Prix), Romanciada (Lied and song Intl competition, Grand Prix), Queen Elisabeth in Brussels, Elena Obraztsova, Bella Voce (1 prize). From 2005 to 2007, I was at the Young Artists at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, where in 2006 I sang to World acclaimed debut in the role of Rachel, in La Juive, then was employed through 2015 at the ROH Covent Garden, and major theaters around the world. Made my Met Opera debut in 2007, then in several productions every season through 2015. Our production DVDs has won Grammy musical awards. In 2012 I have won "singer of the year" international award for my La Traviata interpretation and was hailed a title as Violetta of the century, among names of R.Poncelle and M.Callas.

I love everything I do in life and I put all my heart and passion into it. I love beautiful music and I LOVE voices. I am very proud to have helped a few of my fellow colleagues to their achievements on stage and various of my young students I have had for the past seven years.

I work on technique, but also I constantly research on musical history and characters. I do help with languages: reading, understanding and singing on foreign language, (which is slightly differ from the spoken word). My goal is not only to help you to speak the same language with your voice, but to run it music through the very depth of your heart and to see all different ways and passages in written music, you can take with a flick of your mind, and to transform with the color of your voice into something completely unique and beautiful.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Voice (Music)

I have certified international diploma of an opera singer, which I have been for about 26 years and a voice teacher. One of my students is singing at the Met Opera and another recently joined Julliard. The youngest student has just passed into Mendes.
