SUNY Buffalo (Graduate Coursework)
I am experienced in teaching language skills in French. Every student is different, and I can provide targeted exercises to develop your grammar, your comprehension and your written proficiency. I have done undergraduate and graduate work in French Literature at the University of Buffalo, and also at the Université de Grenoble, in France. I've taught in a NYC high school, and on the university level.
As a magna cum laude graduate in French Literature, I worked hard. I understand your difficulties in tackling French. I feel that no matter what your current level is, you will make improvements by applying yourself with focus, guided by the helping hand of a good teacher. A talented teacher can not only help people learn, but inspire a student to really want to go further. I am encouraging as a teacher/tutor, and I strive to challenge students while at the same time, make things clear and less mysterious -- and enjoyable!

Whether you need help to get past an exam, or have a general interest in learning French, I think I can help you!
I have flexibility to schedule tutoring sessions on numerous days of the week. I look forward to hearing from you! I am experienced in teaching language skills in French. I am happy to give lessons to 2 students at a time if their needs are similar. In this case, the rate would be $120 for a one-hour session. This saves each student some money.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
