Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Public Speaking

I have a degree in Drama and extensive experience as an actor and director. I have coached many private students on the skills and presentation of public speaking. I have also helped several students in both academia and the corporate sector improve upon their public speaking methods through the use of techniques learned and developed via my theatrical experience.

Theater

I have a degree from Syracuse University (a BFA in Theatre) and have been working in New York as a professional director (and teacher) for more than a decade. I have taught theatre for the Alliance Theatre (Atlanta), GroundUp Productions (New York) and as a private audition coach for dozens of clients. My productions have received critical acclaim from The New York Times, TimeOut Magazine, The Advocate Magazine, The Chicago Tribune and more.
