About Angela

I graduated from Harvard University in 2014, majoring in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. During my time in school, I worked as a tutor for the undergraduate Bureau of Study Counsel and as a tutor for Harvard Student Agencies Tutoring, a student-run organization that works with students to improve test scores and gain admission to top colleges. I love working with students on a variety of topics, and strongly believe that high test scores and grades come from tutoring programs uniquely tailored to individual students. I eventually took on the role of Assistant Manager of Operations for Harvard Student Agencies Tutoring, designing course programs and curricula for students taking the SATs and ACTs. I have also taught full 20-hour 'SAT SOS' courses for high school students and am happy to design a similar course for any student taking the SAT relatively soon.

I truly enjoy working with students, and helping them achieve their academic goals. I am highly detail oriented, communicative, and creative with tutoring methods, and I believe that each student has the capacity to achieve top scores on both standardized and local
exams given the correct perspective and mode of preparation. I am very proud of my past students, and look forward to working with motivated students in the future.

Math is my absolute favorite topic to teach. I thoroughly enjoy working with students to develop new tricks to ace math exams, and to dismantle students' fears of intimidating mathematical topics. I also have a great deal of experience tutoring students for the SAT exams, the SAT Subject Tests, ACT exams, and local exams.

My studies at Harvard have primarily focused on the hard sciences. I concentrated in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology, and the courses involved in the program have given me a comprehensive background in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.

If you're interested in working with me, please get in touch! I am very flexible with scheduling and excited to schedule lessons with students.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
