I am a Russian born Israeli Pianist/Composer. I reside in New York City since 2001. I started playing piano at the age of 5. I am a graduate of the Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA) in Jerusalem, Israel.
I obtained a BFA degree from the New School (2006). I have studied Jazz Piano with Kenny Barron and Fred Hersch, Composition with Kirk Nurock, among others. I am an active member of the New Work Music scene, extensively performing with my own group and with others internationally.
As a musician, I retain a strong interest in languages. I speak four languages (Russian, English, Hebrew and French). I have 5 years of experience in teaching Hebrew (Conversation, Comprehension, Basic Reading/Writing Skills). I love sharing my knowledge with others, as I was privileged to learn from those who shared their knowledge with me. Therefore, I love teaching on many different levels.
I believe that every person has a special connection to music, regardless of the student's level and potential. My job is to cherish and that connection. I approach every student individually. I have a method that involves working on the music that the student likes the most and developing the necessary skills in order to advance in that particular style. I also strongly believe in developing Basic Ear- Training , Rhythm and Solfege skills.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been studying Composition since I was 11. Since then, I have been composing Music in different genres, including an original composition for Chamber Orchestra, Big Band, smaller jazz ensembles, a jazz trio, as well as arrangements for different ensembles. I have studied composition with Professor Andre Hajdu (in Israel), Mr. Kirk Nurock (in New York). I retain my interest in Western Classical and Contemporary Music.
I am an Israeli. I have graduated from High School in Israel and have completed my High School Diploma (Bagrut) in Hebrew. I also have 10 years of experience of teaching Hebrew privately, in groups as well as in Hebrew schools. I have a special and elegant method that improves Conversation, Comprehension and Basic Reading/Writing Skills.
I am a professional Jazz and Classical Pianist. I have been playing the piano since the age of 5. Throughout my life I retained an ongoing interest in developing skills both as a classical pianist (sight reading, performance, analysis, knowledge of the Literature) and a Jazz pianist (Improvisation, composing on the spot, analytical skills, Harmony, Rhythmical skills). I obtain a BFA Degree in Music Performance from the New School (New York, NY). SInce 2001, I have been teaching students of practically all levels. I believe in finding a individual approach to every student. My goal is to incite the passion to Music in every student, as well as help her/him to improve their professional skills.
My song heroes include Stevie Wonder, Lennon/Mc Cartney, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Donny Hathaway, D'Angelo and many others. I have a strong background in Western Classical Music , Jazz and Contemporary Songwriting. I also speak four languages and have strong cultural influences that can help the student to learn and draw from. I also produce and arrange.
