About Dida

Hello,

My name is Dida. I'm a 26 years old professional Chess player who managed to be 3rd in Lebanese Championship (-21) 2005 and 5th in Arab Elite Championship (-21) 2006, with an Elo rating of 2309 (FIDE ranking, 2009) on my own. Sure I had my oldest brother help me at first with some basic moves, but then I started playing online. Winning and losing of course, but most importantly gaining experience and developing my mind. I have taught over 15 players, of which 6 were professionals. For me, tutoring is fun and honestly it makes me happy when I can teach other people what I learned.

I really like to teach people especially young kids how to play chess. Playing chess at a young age will let someone's way of thinking become much better than other people.
I am patient giving lessons, but I really hope that students will be responsive and most importantly want to learn or develop their skills.
During lessons, my screen will be shared with the student(s) so I can walk them through every step to achieve their goals.

Best wishes,
Dida

I used to coach professionals and charging them $90 for the session (1.5 hr). Since now I am not playing a lot and working, I prefer teaching youngsters. Don't worry I still got it though :)

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have always been good at Math and wanted to help others understand it. Algebra is very basic comparing to other Math classes I took, however I do enjoy tutoring it. Everyone I taught succeeded, but there are always people that do not want to learn, and their parents are pushing them. I am a patient tutor, however do not like to waste my time, I hope you are serious and wanting to learn.

Chess

I remember when I used to watch my oldest brother playing chess. Then I decided that I wanted to learn, so he started teaching me. A few days later I started playing online: winning and losing, but most importantly gaining experience and developing my mind. I never had a real chess coach, but that did not stop me from being in 3rd place in Lebanese Championship 2005 (-21) and 5th place in the Arab Elite Chess Championship 2006 (-21) with an Elo rating of 2309 (FIDE ranking, 2009).
