Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Biostatistics

I am qualified to tutor in biostatistics due to my academic and professional experience in the subject. I have a Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology with a minor in Biostatistics from the University of Texas, which required advanced biostatistical methods courses to be completed. My coursework included all introductory and intermediate biostat courses plus advanced courses in linear, logistic, categorical, and Poisson regression techniques. Currently, I work as a Research Scientist and use biostatistic methods of coding and modeling daily with SPSS and SAS. I have excellent tips and strategies for learning and applying biostatistics.
