Ciao,
My name is Danilo, I was born and raised in Rome, I'm a trained and certified Italian teacher as a second language by the University of Siena and the Dilit International House, one of the first language schools in Italy to teach Italian as a Foreign Language and established as one of the most prestigious Italian Language Schools in the country today.

I teach my students to effectively communicate with me in my own language and, perhaps more importantly, to gain an appreciation for another language and culture.

My personal style of teaching is manly based on the Communicative Approach and brings cultural elements, technology and enthusiasm to increase learning motivation while having fun.
I teach with a contagious smile and open personality that helps me interact with my students and guide them through their learning process.

I always tailor my lessons to the needs and levels of my students through a guided discovering learning approach and integrated teaching methods, including audios, conservation, original articles, games, free conversations and subconscious grammar acquisition.

Please, if you have any particular needs or interested, please let met know. I'd be happy to tailor a special lesson for you. I have also worked with musicians, writers, lawyers, teachers and chefs.

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Have a great day

Danilo

Born and raised in Rome, I've always been attracted to working in an international context and teaching foreign languages. I’m a very open minded, enthusiastic and dynamic person. I enjoy music (I’m currently studying drums), sports (American football, soccer and basketball), travel, international politics, photography and history. I have two degrees to teach Italian: from the University of Siena and from Dilit International House of Rome. I started teaching Italian in 1994 at the Catacombs of Rome, where I gave tailored guided tours to foreign students who were studying Italian. I also taught at the Music Academy and at the University of Ulaanbaatar, in Mongolia; and in Rome, at Prolingua School, Upter University and at Dilit International House, where I had received a Certificate in Teaching Italian as a Second Language. I love teaching Italian because it gives me the opportunity to put my passion and experience to use in helping you study or discover this beautiful language. I like working with both beginner and advanced students, tailoring my lessons to suit your needs. During the first lesson, I carefully listen to students' objectives and plan future lessons based on specific needs. My lessons are challenging yet a lot of fun. I design customized role-playing exercises for each student. I mainly use the Communicative Approach based on the language puzzle, reconstruction of conversation, fast and analytical reading, and other exercises where learners are involved in listening, reading and real-life conversations, with learner-centered lessons (challenging but also fun) and the use of authentic materials: audios, articles and videos.
