Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a Bachelor's degree in clarinet from the Eastman School of Music (graduated 2005). My tenure as a clarinetist is about 25 years long now, and I've performed in the world's top concert halls and under some of the most illustrious conductors.

Knowledgeable

Anna was very knowledgeable and patient while working with me. She taught me about embouchure, hand placement, basic notes and helped me play the f scale. I had questions about the quality of my clarinet and reed and she helped adjust my reed and knew little tricks to smooth it out a bit. I will definitely be going back to Anna!
