I am a Harlem-based Actor, Choreographer and Teacher who has worked both in the greater New York area and nationally as a teacher and tutor for over nine years. I studied Acting at the Juilliard school and History with a concentration in Middle Eastern, South Asian and African studies at Columbia University.
I currently act on and off-broadway and tutor both privately and with L.E.A.P.(learning through an expanded arts program).
My love of teaching stems from my lifelong passion for learning and for using knowledge to make the world around me better. I love passing on what I know to young people and acting as a mentor and resource to my student so that they can call upon me for guidance.
I specialize in teaching Global and American History, Literature, English, Writing, and SAT Reading Prep, and I have worked with students in grades 3-post graduate study both in the classroom and in private study. I believe strongly in equipping my students with the tools they'll need to succeed in any given subject.
As a teacher, I am knowledgable, experienced, kind, reliable, and committed.
I am based in Manhattan, and I also travel to the outer boroughs. Additionally, for students whose families live in other counties or in nearby New Jersey I offer Skype sessions.
While I do maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy, I gladly offer makeup sessions with my students.
I Look forward to hearing from and beginning our work together!
Thank You.
Sincerely,
Kambi
