I am a young professional working and living in Manhattan, with a passion for helping students improve their SAT scores. Having gone through the stress of the college admissions process more recently than most tutors, I have a unique ability to connect with my students and help them achieve their target scores (or higher!). My comprehensive and patient approach includes teaching the underlying concepts necessary to answer the tough questions, as well as the rigorous practice necessary to succeed on test day.
Based on a student's starting point, I use a combination of latest official SAT guide, real past exams, free online resources/apps,
and personal expertise, to support students as they undertake their course of study. I typically assign homework at each session, and review results between sessions, so as not to waste time during sessions grading practice tests.
In terms of qualifications, I personally scored 2310 on the SAT (780 Math, 770 Writing, 760 Reading), and a 35 on the ACT (36 Science, 35 English, 35 Reading, 34 Math). I attended Washington University in St. Louis, achieving a 3.95 GPA, with a major in Economics and a minor in Computer Science. Since college, I have worked for 2 years as a Management Consultant, and now work in the Corporate Strategy group at a major retailer. I have prior experience tutoring SAT students in the St. Louis area, where I helped my students consistently raise their scores, which, in many cases, resulted in being asked to tutor a younger sibling or a family friend.
I am available to tutor on weeknights and weekends, and will work with you to flexibly accommodate busy schedules. Please feel free to message me with any questions!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
