Whether you are the parent of a student seeking to strengthen his or her skills or a conscientious student yourself, you have taken the right approach to investigate private tutors on your own. I think I may be what you're looking for.

My name is Stephen, and I'm a graduate from Harvard in Applied Mathematics.

After five years working in Boston's online analytics industry, I moved to the city to begin a new career that gives me the flexibility to work on the side. Tutoring is both a worthwhile and meaningful fit for me. I enjoy working with students to break down mental walls and mastering subjects that are necessary in order to excel in school and attain a high score on standardized tests.

There are many expensive options in the city for tutoring, but from my experience, the best tutor is one that fits the student best. If you have tried luxury routes or are just looking for a more reasonable rate without compromising on a high-quality private tutor, I encourage you to contact me to discuss your academic goals or those of your student. For students with a clear short-term goal, such as an upcoming test, we can start with sessions right away. Or, for a longer term schedule, an initial assessment will identify the appropriate study plan to meet specific personal goals.

The student's progress is what matters, and I will work closely with them to give them the tools necessary and the strategies to wield them. If this sounds like what you are looking for, contact me today!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
